Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Benefit

The Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Benefit provides valuable protection to plan members at a low cost. AD&D Benefit provides financial assistance if a plan member suffers a loss of life, use of a limb, sight, hearing, and/or speech due to an accident.

The tax-free death benefit is payable to the plan member’s beneficiary. The dismemberment benefit is payable to the plan member.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage can provide added security in the event of an employee's accidental death or if they suffer from a physical disability as a result of a life changing accident. The benefit amount is typically set to be the same amount as their group term life coverage; however, various coverage options are available.
